Carey is a former top fashion model who stands at almost 5'10", was popular with American fashion designers such as Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren. Her father was a renowned geoscientist and was awarded the title of Scientist from 1979 by Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists. As a result of his professional career Carey has been raised across the globe. When she was a student at in the University of Colorado, Carey began modeling on the side. The Ford model agency located in New York noticed her and offered to help. Following her move to France, where she briefly resided in Paris, Bordeaux and New York, she decided to go back to New York and continue her education. Soon, Vogue, Glamour and others were featured on their cover. As a model, she went to New York University full-time to get a literature degree. In the following years, she developed an interest in acting. She studied at Neighborhood Playhouse New York. Her debut as an actor was as a character in the film with Robin Williams in the 1986 film 'Club Paradise. She enjoys rock climbing, skiing, and windsurfing.
