Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Taylor is an American actress and producer recognized for her roles played in Ray Undercover Brother, The Mentalist and The television series The Mentalist. She received the B.A. from African-American Studies, from Brown University. Her MFA is in acting at Tisch School of Acting at New York University. Aunjanue L. Ellis is an American actor and producer, who has been involved in the world of film as well as television. She began her acting career with theater, and was later featured in several television series and independent and mainstream movies. Her most well-known roles were in the role of Miranda Shaw (ABC's Quantico) as well as in BET's huge The Book of Negroes. Both series received major reviews, and she also received a number of awards. Her career began as an actor in the year 1995 when she played Ariel in The Tempest. Stage credits include Come and Gone Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis, a Broadway production by Joe Turner. Her film career is highlighted through her appearances in Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express, and The Help. For her work on television she has been praised for her performance in the role of a character who is a regular on ABC's cop drama High Incident.
